Today is Dan’s birthday! Even though he has become anti-social and doesn’t really post anymore (ahem), please join me in wishing him a happy one.

Normally, I contribute a this day in history list, but I’ve already done that for Dan and I’m running out of events. Instead, I have decided to highlight some of the things that are going in the world right this very minute. They have to have officially happened today (not yesterday or last night EST) and have to be memorable. If I find any reports over the weekend for 07/21, I will post them on Monday.
